New Year's Intentions

Secret...I have never been one to make New Years Resolutions. I figured most don't work out anyways and I like to spend the entire year focusing on goals and how to achieve them. What I have decided to do this year though, is truly take a step back, reflect, and set intentions. For some reason, this feels different than a "new year's resolution."
Reflecting on everything this year has brought is an absolute whirlwind. We started Mary Rose not even a full year ago and not only have we opened our first brick and mortar, started a successful non-profit that is truly making a difference (I received an email from the mom of the first person who was helped by our funds and it truly brought me to tears) but we have created this amazing, supportive group of women who truly want to see each other love themselves. That. That is what gets me. Reflecting on what Mary Rose has become in such a short time leaves me feeling speechless, so humbled, and thankful. You all are to thank. You are what Mary Rose is all about. Knowing your worth, allowing yourself to truly love and care for yourself, and dammit, letting yourself FEEL beautiful...that is what we are about. Mary Rose has become so much more than a kick ass clothing boutique. We are about creating self-love, accepting yourself, ending shaming (whether that's body shaming, mental health shaming, all of it) and I couldn't be more honored to be here with you ladies.
My intentions for the new year are to continue to foster the love and support that Mary Rose has become. To grow the business to a place where we are making more of an impact for women everywhere. We need more self-love and acceptance. It starts with us. Loving and accepting yourself is step 1 to creating a better world. I want to see more women stand up and say "I am not perfect AND I love myself as I am." Loving yourself as you are does not mean we don't strive to be a better version of ourselves, it simply means we accept where we are now and our self-love is not dependent on some outside factor.
May you find peace, love, and whatever else you need this new year. #setintentions #setyourgoals #bossbabe #loveyourself💕
